
Dress code
Dag 1 – 24 oktober 12u - Welkomstlunch (mehendi):
Dresscode: kleurrijk & luchtig.
Mannen: linnen hemd of lichte ‘kurta’ met een coatie (=soort van Indisch hemd)
Vrouwen: zomerse jurk of lichte Indiase outfit (salwar kameez, ‘kurta’)
Stijl: vrolijk en comfortabel.
Dag 1 – 24 oktober, 19u – Dansavond (Sangeet):
Dresscode: glamoureus, glitter, dansbaar.
Mannen: feestelijk pak, of kleurrijke kurta met jasje.
Vrouwen: feestjurk, jumpsuit of Indiase ‘lehenga(Indische rok)/sari (Indisch kleed)’ , eventueel met glitter.
Stijl: denk aan een chique dansfeest. Glamour.
Dag 2 – 25 oktober, 11u – Westerse huwelijksceremonie
Dresscode: klassieke trouwkledij.
Mannen: Kostuum
Vrouwen: elegante jurk (cocktail of lang).
Stijl: vergelijkbaar met een Belgische trouw.
Dag 2 – 25 oktober, 16u - Indische ceremonie
Dresscode: traditioneel Indisch.
Mannen: sherwani of kurta met sjaal.
Vrouwen: sari of lehenga.
Alternatief: Je kan uiteraard de kledij van de voormiddag aanhouden. Een outfit change is absoluut niet verplicht.
Tip: vermijd wit; kleurrijk is beter.
Dag 2 - 25 oktober, 20u - Dinner and Afterparty
Indische kleren kan je eventueel in België vinden maar dit gaat veel duurder zijn. Het gemakkelijkste is om het ter plaatse te kopen in een winkel die al ready-made kleren heeft of een winkel waar ze de kleren nog op maat maken (dit duurt vaak 1-3 dagen).

You can choose to wear whatever you wish on the wedding!
The dress code is a guidance and can help in choosing your favourite dress for each of the event.
Pre-wedding events on 24 October: there will be two events:
Welcome event with Mehndi and Haldi in the afternoon as you check in (from 12PM onwards)
dress code: Light, Breezy and Colorful e.g. linen, kurtas, nehru jacket
Cocktail with Sangeet in the evening:
dress code: Casual Chic - Glamour
Wedding on 25 October:
Christian wedding at 11 AM
dress code: European (or Indian) formals
Vedic wedding "Shaadi" from 4PM onwards (baraat, milni, phere)
dress code: Indian (or European) formals
Dinner and Afterparty 8PM
dress code: Formals
(There is not much time to change between the Shaadi and the Dinner so many will continue with the same clothes!)

In case you would like to get yourself a traditional Indian wear for some of the functions, we are very happy to recommend you addresses, just drop us a line.
Please note, that for a saree blouse, tailors are usually able to make it within a day or two but in case of high demand and for men's clothing you may want to count 2-3 days.
We will do our best to arrange staff to help you in to a sari on the day.
If you would like to buy a ready to wear suit, there are some great brands in Delhi and Jaipur in the many Indian malls and shopping streets.
